Studio School // 2018

Studio School offers a wide range of art classes for adults and children, including painting, drawing, pottery, and more. Using the Museum’s collection and exhibitions as inspiration, explore your own creativity while discovering new techniques. Whether you’re interested in a laid-back craft night or an in-depth course, Studio School has something for you.

No prior experience is necessary. All materials are provided. Registration is required at least 48 hours in advance unless otherwise noted. Members receive a 20% discount on all Studio School classes.

SCULPTING WITH CLAY
Create a Stacked Ceramic Sculpture. Sculpt three-dimensional forms and pieces out of clay. Learn to glaze and finish your original works.

LANDSCAPE PAINTING
While exploring shape and color, learn to compose landscapes using palette knife techniques with artist Alisa Koch.

Inspired by old masters and Birmingham’s Richard Coe, learn a contemporary twist on an age-old printing technique with Greg Randall.

MAKER STATION: MAKE 2, TAKE 1
There’s a maker in us all. Discover yours at the Maker Station by creating your own works of art.

Free, no registration necessary.

The Maker Station will be open Saturday July 21, August 4, and August 11 from 10AM-12:30PM.
