Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm
Sunday, 12-5pm
On one Friday evening each month from September-April, the Museum stays open until 9pm for Art After 5. Please check the Art After 5 page for more info and dates.
Parking
Free parking is available in the Museum’s lot, located behind the Museum off Richard Arrington, Jr. Boulevard. Additional parking is available in nearby Boutwell Auditorium Parking Deck and metered street parking. The Museum cannot validate parking in areas other than our attached lot.

Cafe – Juniper at the Museum
The BMA’s cafe Juniper at the Museum offers our visitors a new, elevated dining experience. Partnering with the folks behind Birmingham’s popular Juniper cocktail bar and restaurant, the Museum will merge the visual and culinary arts in a light-filled space adjacent to our collection galleries.

Directions
Rideshare
Ask your driver to follow in-app directions to the museum’s main entrance on Rev Abraham Woods Jr Blvd.
Public Transit
The museum is located 5 minute drive from the Birmingham Intermodal Terminal, which has service by Amtrak, Greyhound, and Megabus. Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport is a 10 minute drive to the Museum.
Max Bus
Magic City Connector runs from 10am to 6pm on weekdays and stops at the Museum every 15 minutes.
Biking
Bike racks are available near the museum’s main entrance and in the Artwalk near the museum parking lot.
