Teen BMA application

Applications for Teen BMA are due by May 31 for the following school year.

  • Teen BMA requires members to attend one meeting a month (typically on the first Monday of the month from 5-7pm) and to volunteer at least once a month on a weekend.
  • Please write a paragraph describing what you hope to learn and what skills you hope to gain from your experience with Teen BMA.
  • Please write a paragraph telling us about yourself! Be sure to include any relevant experiences such as volunteer experiences, extra-curricular activities, and interests.
  • Focus

    Teen BMA offers the opportunity for students to take an individualized focus in various areas of museum work. Please rank the options you are most interested in from 1=most interested and 3=least interested. See below for a description of each track.
  • Assist a studio teacher with preparations and teaching studio art classes for children and adults.
  • Assist in the Museum’s interactive children’s gallery by helping families with art projects and other engaging activities.
  • Serve as gallery attendants to help visitors access the smartguide (an online tool with information on artworks), answer questions and engage in conversations with visitors, and conduct surveys in the galleries.
  • Reference

    Please provide the name and contact information for one reference. Your reference cannot be a family member but can be a teacher, coach, or mentor. We will send a form for them to fill out.
