Imagine Asia

August 11 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am /

In this program for adults, specially trained docents present the Museum’s collection by means of verbal descriptions, three-dimensional tactile models based on original works of art, and sculpture. The experience may be enhanced by related music and/or art-making to provide multi-sensory access to the visual arts.

Explore the Sculpture Garden, Chinese, Japanese, and Southeast Asian galleries for an overview of Asian art and culture. Learn what was important to their cultures in terms of lifestyle, belief systems, and technology as well as the formal qualities of shape, texture, color, and composition.

Space is limited; reservations are required. Please RSVP by 4:30 pm on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.

VIP tours are also available for school-age or adult groups. To reserve your spot or learn more about group tours, call 205.254.2964 or email tours@artsbma.org.
