Ladies' parasol of black silk taffeta and lined with black silk, the canopy overlaid with black tulle, cut to reveal a subtle floral design with applied black cording and gold thread applied in a pattern of stylized leafy floral motifs, with ruffled edge with black satin banding and tuft of black silk at the top, the tapered handle/stick of ivory carved in relief with a floral garland that winds around the stick, the spike in the form of the bust of a bacchanalian figure likewise in carved ivory, with two tassels attached to the stick with black twine, the frame of black and gold tone metal.
