Thanks to everyone who made our first Art After 5 a hit! We hope you enjoyed your evening of music, mixing, and making at the Museum as much as we did. While interactive ghoulish tours brought our galleries to life, the lobby was transformed by a live performance by contemporary jazz duo Michael Glaser and Choko Aken, a spooky mini printing shop, and a popup cocktail bar from Atomic Bar and Lounge featuring complimentary ‘Museum Mules.’ Oscar’s Cafe served delicious small plates and cocktails, while guests got a taste of the Museum after dark.
Don’t miss next month’s edition of Art After 5! Guests will enjoy a performance by local songwriters Kelli Johnson and Jason Bailey, a mini studio class, speciality cocktails, and more! Plus, this event will feature a special artist talk with Lauren Henkin, whose photographs of rural Hale County will be on display in the exhibition What’s Lost Is Found to open at the BMA in November. We’re looking forward to another great night at the Museum!
