Each year, more than 500 people from all around our community contribute over 12,000 hours at the Museum. Men and women of different backgrounds, from high-school students to retirees, help the museum to fulfill its mission of “providing an unparalleled cultural and educational experience…by collecting, presenting, interpreting, and preserving works of art” and enhance the cultural vibrancy of Birmingham by donating their time to the Museum.

Volunteer opportunities include working at the information desk, helping in the gift shop, assisting with clerical duties, facilitating children’s art projects, and helping with special exhibitions.
