James came to the Museum as the graphic designer in 2006, bringing a clean design sensibility and an attention to detail to Museum publications. In 2012 he became Creative Director after developing an Addy award winning campaign for Who Shot Rock and Roll. He now oversees all Museum publications and codirects the Commmunications department, taking an active role in marketing planning and execution. Prior to working at the Museum he worked in advertising and design firms in Birmingham and Chattanooga. He received his BFA in Graphic Design from Auburn University in 2002.
