Pulitzer Prize-Winning Poet Laureate Comes To The Museum

During our ART PAPERS LIVE event, happening Saturday, January 9 at 11AM, the Museum is excited to host a conversation between artist Bethany Collins and Pulitzer Prize-winning Poet Laureate Natasha Trethewey. Trethewey served two terms as the 19th Poet Laureate of the United States and is currently Professor of English and Creative Writing at Emory University in Atlanta.

Born in Gulfport, Mississippi, Trethewey is the first Poet Laureate from the South since Robert Penn Warren was named in 1986. Learn more about Trethewey’s life and work from NPR, and watch the following interview from PBS NewsHour:
