The Junior Patrons are made up of nearly 1,000 young professionals with a mutual interest in art and promoting cultural involvement within the Birmingham community. JUNIOR PATRON BOARD APPLICATION
Make plans to be at the Museum during the 2013 sundown series of Art on the Rocks for evenings filled with live music, creative expression, specialty beverages, and themed foods. This season we asked Birmingham artists, musicians, dancers, actors, and designers to create performances inspired by works from the Museum’s world-class permanent collection. Selections from these performances will be showcased during each event. Every AOTR event will feature live art collaborations, a photo booth, giveaways, and much more!
This year’s special guests include: Dj COCO, Red Mountain Theater, DANCEe, ArtPlay Teaching Artists, Sidewalk Film Festival, Opera Birmingham, Aldridge Botanical Gardens, Gus Mayer and Yellowhammer Creative

Join the Junior Patrons of the Birmingham Museum of Art for an insider look at one of Red Mountain's most beautiful historical homes - The Cobb-Henley-Serra Home. Built around 1915, this gorgeous home was thoughtfully renovated and restored to its original glory by the current homeowners. Marvel at the sprawling city views, architectural details as well as the extensive collection of antique furniture and art. Listen to stories of the renovations and the rich history while enjoying light hor d'oeuvres, wine, and beer and mingling with Junior Patrons throughout the home and gardens of this unique private estate.
Local author and historian Cathy Adams will share her knowledge about the house as well as others in the Redmont area. Cathy wrote Worthy of Remembrance: A History of Redmont Alabama (Birmingham), which was published in 2002. This opportunity to tour the house with such a local history buff is truly a unique opportunity not to be missed!

Studio By The Tracks (SBTT), a non-profit organization, was formed in 1989 to provide free art classes to emotionally conflicted children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder or mental illness. SBTT maintains a focused, energized atmosphere that provides our students a haven in which to create. We encourage a supportive and nonjudgmental climate necessary to nurture creative abilities, enhance self-esteem, and explore alternative ways of coping with emotional and physical conflict.
