Lunch and Learn: Cooking and Eating in Renaissance Italy: From Kitchen to Table with Professor Katherine McIver Members Room Have you ever wondered where people ate their meals or where and how meals were prepared? Paintings like Veronese's Marriage at Cana (Paris, Musee du Louvre) seem to give us an idea of what lavish banquets were like. But they do not tell us about the everyday meal or the small intimate dinner for a few close friends. Prof. McIver will present a picture of the dining experience during the Italian Renaissance, from food preparation to the final presentation. To RSVP and order a boxed lunch ($12 per person), please contact Carrie Montgomery at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
