betterAC4For two decades Harold and Regina Simon, nationally known for collecting art of the American West, donated most of their collection to the Museum, including works by Frederic Remington and Albert Bierstadt. Curator Graham Boettcher talks about this gift that so enriched our American Galleries.

Art and Conversation is for people who want to learn more about art in an informal and interactive setting. Coffee and light refreshments are available one half-hour prior in the Eighth Avenue Lobby. Tours are led by curators, or guest lecturers, and attendees are encouraged to ask questions, share thoughts and ideas, and actively participate in the learning process. Art and Conversation is open to the public, but registration is limited. Those who register early will have a better chance to be included in the series. Each program is $10 ($15 for non-members). Please make checks payable to the Birmingham Museum of Art and note that it is for Art and Conversation.
