Boettcher will discuss the life and work of the printmaker Frank Hartley Anderson, one of Birmingham's most important artists during the Great Depression. Presented by Birmingham Printmakers. Printmakers of any type, students, fans of the medium, and people curious about trying the art for themselves are welcome to join the Birmingham Printmakers. The group meets monthly and currently is planning for exhibits, classes, and other events. It also hosts a Facebook page with more than 120 members. Membership is free. Simply search for "Birmingham Printmakers" on Facebook and join the group.

Today's Birmingham Printmakers follow in the footsteps of a previous generation of printmakers who were active in the city decades ago. In a special presentation, Dr. Graham Boettcher introduces these talented men and women who won regional and national acclaim for their art, offers a rare look at their prints, and gives us a peek into their lives and careers.
