Original songs and vibrant performance poetry unite in this special program. Performance poet Glenis Redmond and Blues musician Scott Ainslie communicate the power of story in our lives. This performance promises soul, humor, insight, and the power that comes from generously shared experiences. Both artists tour, write, teach, record, and publish on their own and their intersection offers us a chance to journey through and examine our personal, family, and cultural histories. While in Birmingham, both Redmond and Ainslie will teach in local schools and their ongoing dialogue will remind us that we are all connected as each of our stories prompts another story, another poem, another song.
