/ / Free

Event Navigation

Local educators are invited to join us for an exciting series of workshops this summer! These workshops are designed to help teachers integrate the arts into their existing curriculum. We’ll take a look at works from many areas of the collection, but will focus mainly on the contemporary art and issues at work in Third Space, the Museum’s compelling exhibit of contemporary art from around the world. These workshops will be of special interest to middle and high school instructors of social studies and language arts, though all teachers are welcome to attend. We will discuss how to use contemporary art to develop and enhance literacy, how artists have wrestled with pressing social issues through visual art, and more!

While all three workshops are related, they are designed to stand on their own. Come for one or come for all! The workshops will last from 9AM to noon, and are sure to be lively and engaging. Space is limited, so please contact Matthew Stokes at mstokes@artsbma.org to register.
