Curatorial consultations allow members of the community to bring in an object of art for evaluation by a member of the Museum's curatorial staff.  Please note that this is not an official appraisal or authentication service.

Curatorial consultations are available by appointment only, and are free for Museum members, and $25 for non-members (per 15-minute consultation with up to three artworks).  Payment must be made in advance and is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation or no-show.  Appointments for curatorial consultations will be made in advance at a mutually convenient time for both parties.

The American Association of Museums and the Internal Revenue Service prohibit the Museum from providing monetary valuations or appraisals.  Below is a partial list of national art appraiser organizations that may be of assistance to you. This list should not be considered an endorsement by the Museum of the abilities or qualifications of these organizations.
