On March 26, 2015, the BMA participated in Birmingham City Schools’ 13th annual spring conference, Parent Camp 2015. This year’s theme, “Learning with Wonder,” gave parents hands-on ways to be involved with their kids’ lives.
The camp provided an array of activities for parents to understand how to teach their children about eating healthily, engaging in physical activity, using media properly, and exposing them to many forms of art. Each of the activities showed how the choices they make can impact their lives now and in the future.
Our Artist-in-Residence Toby Richards, along with several BMA Education Interns, created Andinkra cloths with more than 80 participants. Take a look at the fun they had in the slide show below!
