National Gallery of Art Lecture

On November 18, BMA's Andrew W. Mellon Curatorial Fellow, Dr. Jeffreen Hayes, visited the National Gallery of Art for a conversation with Darryl Atwell. Atwell, a collector based in Washington, DC, spoke with Dr. Hayes about the collecting of African American art by others and the rise of contemporary African American artists. The discussion, "Collection Black: An Anachronism," was part of the National Art Gallery's lecture series The Collecting of African American Art. Listen to the lecture here!
